During the weekend, I read about a great concept on the Milk Magazine blog. It's called Koa Koa. Koa Koa is a monthly subscription service that offers creative and educational activities for kids starting from 5 years old. Each month they select a new theme in the field of the arts or sciences. For this they collaborate with talented designers who develop elegant and appealing activities that will arouse your kids imagination.

Perfect concept in a time where our World becomes more and more virtual! For more information, pls visit their lovely website.

If you like stationery, you will love the French website La petite Papeterie Fanscaise.
It is a small French online paper shop that is selecting for us the most beautiful, stylish and quality products for the office that are also environment friendly. What do you think?

Cavalcade at Kidsroomzoom coming week!

Kidsroomzoom is THE art & design fair for kids in Milan, taking place coming week from the 8 till the 13th of April.

Italian but Amsterdam based designer Luca Boscardin will expose with his Cavalcade collection. It is a range of rocking animals, with wheels if needed, made out of solid wood.

Every animal is built starting from a single piece of wood, cut and painted with different colors to distinguish one animal from another.

Toys or NOtoys, that's the question

NOtoys presents "Rubberbands." These DIY kits makes you transform a simple milk or juice carton into a superfast roadster! Rubberbands have a strong elastic winding, so distances of 15 meters can be reached. They are sustainable and sweatshop free and all materials are up- and/or recycled. Rubberbands are 100% designed and produced in Amsterdam and when packed they fit through the mailbox. NOtoys is the most fun toys!

Hello police officer!

Meet the new National Police Officers. For years they have protected the treasures of the National Museum in Amsterdam. They travelled all over the world together.

But since the National Museum re-opened recently, the transport boxes (of which the National Police Officers are made), are not needed anymore. The boxes are given another life!

Every National Police Officer has a different story. If you buy one of them, you can enter the number of your officer at the website and find out which treasure it has protected. Isn't this stimulating the imagination ultimately?

They are really nice as decorative items, or to play with, but the Police officers come as lamps as well!

World 's lucky with Lucky Boy Sunday

It is no news that the Danish Lucky Boy Sunday brings the coolest designs. But did you know that with their work they actually do make a better world?

All Luckyboysunday's designs are manufactured in Bolivia, where Alpaca have been bred for the precious wool for centuries. All items are knitted in cooperatives working under the fair trade principle by very talented women, using the highest grade wool, which is as valuable and as soft as cashmere.

"We support some of the poor population by giving them a good job and a fair price. At the same time the Bolivian knitters make our dreams come alive," say the brands designers, Camilla Koerschen and Camilla Ebdrup.

We love their vision and the current SS '14 collection again. It's original, bold and playfull. Sometimes even a bit triggering when the faces on the products seem to come alive..
